We use photography to understand the world and our images are de subproduct of that research, the notebooks of our search.
The artistic duo formed by the photographers Ángel Albarrán (Barcelona, 1969) and Anna Cabrera (Seville, 1969), have been working together since 1996. Their work is characterized by a particular aesthetic that combines reflection on memory and experience with the research of photographic chemistry.
Influenced by both Occidental and Oriental arts and philosophy, Albarrán Cabrera uses photography as a way to question established principles such as time, place and identity. His work achieves a new notion of perception as a key element in understanding not only art but also life experience itself.
Albarrán Cabrera’s work is present in both public and private collections and he has also produced works for important institutions. In addition, he has collaborated with publishers and companies such as La Monnaie De Munt, -the Brussels Opera House-.
